Question for Everyone
This has possibly been one of the most common things to debate about here in central Illinois. Are they Special K bars? Or are they Scotcharoos? If you ask me, it's definitely Special K. But I'm beginning to think that the only people who call them Special K are those of us from Roanoke. Bekah is making some right now which is what triggered my deep question of the day.

I have the answer!
It's definitely scotcharoos. It's even in the encyclopedia.
T
p.s. This has to be written down in some AC cook guide SOMEWHERE. It is like the ultimate AC bar to make.
Well, I just discussed this with my room mates and 3/4 of us voted SCOTCHAROOS. Trish was the odd man out voting "Special K" as the correct name.
So there is my back up.
:-)
Well, I did a little research. (like a good engineer)
And you can check Here, Here, or Here and see that both names seem to be generally acceptable to the public.
However, here are the results:
Special K Bars: 4,480
Scotcharoos: 464
Scotcheroos: 516
So even if you add up the two different spellings of Scotcheroos, Special K Bars still has the majority opinion here.
Google has spoken, let it be so.
Yes, I know I'm retarded
Yes, I know I'll take crap for this
Yes, I know I need to get a real life
Yes, I know I didn't put periods on the ends of any of those statements.
WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!! I love it when I'm right. But whatever they're called, they're good. Me, Bekah and Jenae polished off a half a pan last night.
Wow that was weird. Me and Amy just commented at exactly the same time.
Everyone knows that they're scotcheroos. Ok, so maybe I used to think that they were snikerdoodles, but once I got that straight everyone knew the truth.
Everyone know that they're scotcheroos! Ok, so maybe I used to think that they were called snikerdoodles (peanutbutter, chocolate, snickers...), but I'm pretty sure I was the last person to learn that.
oops, i just posted twice, didn't I?
sorry sarah, i'm pretty sure you're wrong, definitely scotcheroos!! and i hope you're having fun in florida!! :)
Schotcharoos...yuuummmmm!!!
I was just informed by Miss. Monfre that Scotcheroo's use Rice Crispies and the Special K Bars use, of course, Special K. Hmm...might they not even be the same thing?
