A Recovery And A Birthday

My grandpa has been through a lot lately.  Up until about 2 months ago he was one of the most active old men in town- visiting people, volunteering at the nursing home, taking grandma out to lunch...  Then one day he slipped on the ice and broke his kneecap which brought on a whole host of other problems.  When you're 82, a broken bone is a real setback.  At one point we really thought God was going to call him home but he has really started to bounce back, so we get to keep him awhile longer!  After spending several weeks in the hospital, he is now recuperating in the nursing home until he is able to go back to his own home.  During this time he had a birthday, so we had  a party to cheer him up:)  Nothing extravagant of course- just cupcakes, ice cream, and family.  And a group of people from church that decided to give him a surprise singing.  He's been discouraged, but all that combined was a real pick-me-up for him.  We are blessed to have him and grandma!

Mmmm..... frosting!

This one is just for you, Angie!  Since you so graciously modeled your plate for the camera:)  I was pretty sure you would appreciate seeing this on here.... right?!?!

I have been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting
article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my
opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made good
content as you did, the internet will be much
more useful than ever before.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her
ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but
I had to tell someone!
