Lakes 2021

The lakes with Danny's family with a smashing success:)  We missed it last year plus we've missed two years of Florida now so we were super excited!  After the president of Haiti was assassinated, the airports shut down for awhile so we had a few days of hoping and praying we'd make it on time.  But we made it, and it was filled with everything we expected.  Lots of family time, late nights, games, food, fun.

Sawyer was a little waterbug all week.  He would get into the lake and just swim around for hours.

Tanner loved spending time outside.  Sometimes strapped into the stroller, sometimes stuck in a pack n play, sometimes just crawling around on the grass.

Out of the four girls all in the same class, Summer is the last one to loose a tooth.  One of the girls lost a tooth on a boat ride and I was a little nervous Summer would be sad because she has been waiting and waiting for her turn.  But about an hour later Danny thought her teeth looked a little different, started feeling around, and realized she had a loose tooth on the bottom!  I took this picture because I got a little sad about her loosing her little girl smile with all her baby teeth.  I thought it might be about the last time she would look like this.  But guess what.  That tooth is STILL in her mouth!  She's actually got some shark teeth going on with her permanent teeth coming in behind and pushing the baby teeth forward.  And now I am sooooooo ready for those two bottom teeth to be gone!

Tucker's first jet ski ride.  I think he was a fan.

That there is a good bunch of bros.

Beach time!

Getting reacquainted with cousins.  It takes a little longer when you're two since you don't really remember anyone after being away for almost 8 months.

All the cousin time was amazing:)

Sawyer enjoyed just going and sitting on the jet ski and pretending to drive.  Don't worry- the key was never left in it!

Doesn't everyone eat an ice cream cone with a spoon???

Under the wheelchair ramp was a favorite place to sit for meal times.

The kiddie pool.

This girl.  She loves a good mess.  I found her one day just sitting in the dirt, completely filthy and loving every minute of it.

Sunbathing

Oh hello there!  Another batch of cousins the same age getting to know each other.

One night after pizza, most of the crew went for a ride on the Dixie boat while a few of us took babies back to the cottage.  It was a lot of fun watching them all go past when the boat went past the cottage.

On the Dixie boat.  Sawyer is a loyal fan.  He has talked about it since he saw it last- two years ago.  He was so excited to go for a ride again!

The four 1st graders

One day someone had the idea to go swimming in the deeper water.  Then aaaaaaallllllllll the kids and men decided to join in.  That was one full boat.

Guess who is A.) accustomed to Haiti weather and B.) has no fat on his body to keep him warm?

The first official picture of Tanner and Emma!

It was time to move on but it was sure fun while it lasted!!
